During my youth my father worked on ships. We lived near the shipyard where he worked. I recall staring out the window watching the refurbished ships he had worked on sail go back out to sea during the second world war. They were shinning and looking brand new. I would also watch later as they returned full of bullet holes, damaged from the battles. I have had a life long attraction to ships.
I had the privilege today of a private tour of the main deck of the Oasis of the Seas with Captain Rob. I enjoyed the private tour very much. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Brought back memories of my youth. What was also very sentimental was Captain Rob introduced me to his father who was accompanying him on this Cruise. Precious moments of father and son spent together. Much respect and love. Positive energy all around.
